It was thought provoking, however.
It made me consider: wouldn't a cat in a backpack be infinitely more interesting than a cat on a backpack?
I understand that it's usually a Chihuahua or a teacup Yorkie that becomes a handbag pet, but why not a good-natured cat? Could I be like one of those pet-toting celebrities?
Turns out, I could.
I apologize for the atrocious quality of these photos. I don't normally use flash, but I didn't really have a choice in this case.
And I don't know if you've ever attempted to photograph yourself wearing a cat in a backpack, but I'm here to tell you that it's somewhat of a challenge. Composition wasn't a consideration. I was pretty much just blindly shooting - in most cases over my shoulder.
Bella seemed to enjoy her stint as a papoose. I toted her around for quite awhile with no complaints.
"What's to complain about? This is the life, man!"
